The organizers of this summer’s Central European History Convention (July 17-19 at the University of Vienna) have just published a wonderful blog that, to paraphrase the title of its opening contribution, looks back on this ambitious event—over 500 participants, with 2 keynotes, 1 roundtable, 55 panels, and 10 research labs—while also offering reflections on its future. The heart of the blog is a collection of fascinating articles written by twenty of the emerging scholar participants, in which they discuss the convention from the perspective of their own research interests and sense of the field (and where it is going). The blog is hosted on the CEHC’s home page, and may be accessed using this link.
