The Central European History Society is proud to announce the winner of its annual Hans Rosenberg Book Prize, which recognizes the best book on Central European History by a North American scholar. The 2024 prize is awarded to Tomaz Jardim (Toronto Metropolitan University) for his monograph, Ilse Koch on Trial: Making the “Bitch of Buchenwald,” published by Harvard University Press in 2023. Congratulations Dr. Jardim!
The prize will formally be conferred at the Society’s annual business meeting, to be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, in the Chelsea Room of the Sheraton New York City Hotel.
